Sarah Ragsdale

Sarah Nelson Ragsdale, age 91, of Decatur, GA, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2008. She was born April 15, 1917, in Panola County, Mississippi and was preceded in death by her parents, John Gillion Nelson & Annie Little Nelson. Mrs. Ragsdale was retired from Firestone Tire & Rubber Company where she was a secretary for over 20 years.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, J. W. Ragsdale; son & daughter-in-law, John Warner Ragsdale, Jr. & wife, Nancy of Rome, GA; daughters & sons-in-law, Patricia & James F. Causey of Marietta, GA, and Sandra R. & Lee A. Cook of Tuskegee, AL; sister-in-law, Helen Nelson of Batesville, Mississippi; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; niece, Rosemary Howell, New Orleans, LA; and nephew, John G. Nelson, III, Batesville, MS.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 16, 2008, at 3:00pm, from Clark Funeral Home, with Dr. Curtis Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00pm until the service time. (The family request casual dress for the services.)
