Biography Sarah Pauline "Polly" Scogin, age 79, of Kennesaw, GA passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2007. She was born on May 2, 1928 in Hollywood, AL to the late Wade and Maude Rowe. She was a member of Lost Mountain Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Thomas Elwood Scogin; sons and daughter-in-law, Thomas "Tommy" Scogin Jr. of Pisgah, AL, Richard "Ricky" Scogin of Carrollton, GA and Harold "Harry" and Ann Scogin of Marietta, GA; a sister, Elizabeth Dodson of Scottsboro, AL; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA with Rev. Dale Moore officiating. The interment will follow in Midway Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Dan Scales, Jimmy Scogin, Danny McDougal, Scott Wissman, Robert Wheeler and Joe Scogin serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted or you may make donations to your favorite charity.
