Shawn Michael Creamer

Rev. Dr. Shawn Michael Creamer Sr. passed away on July 31, 2022. He was born on August 29, 1973 to Herbert and Deborah Creamer. Shawn was the Lead Pastor at Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church in East Point, Georgia where he faithfully served his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He brought joy, support, and peace to his congregation. He was a true example of living a Christ-centered life. Shawn was the beacon of hope to his church where he strived to revive the church. He worked diligently and tirelessly as a missionary for 25 years bringing the Word of the Lord to those who needed it most. Shawn was an amazing father of five children. He enjoyed watching football, going to Disney, and spending time with his family. His contagious laughter would always fill a room and leave others with a smile. Shawn was a loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle BooBoo, and friend and he will be deeply missed.

Shawn is preceded in death by his father, Herbert Creamer and grandmother, Dorothy Gaines. He is survived by his mother, Deborah Creamer, his loving wife of 28 years, Michelle Creamer; his children, Shawn Creamer (Cailin) Jr., Melody (Jacob) Creamer Ivy, Noah Creamer, Naomi Creamer, and Danielle Creamer; his sister, Connie (Michael) Cherry; nieces and nephews, Valerie Paynter, Charlotte Davenport, Savannah Davenport, Matthew Davenport, Madison Davenport, Robbie Paynter, and Brecken Paynter.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Funeral Services for Rev. Dr. Shawn Michael Creamer will be held at Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church in East Point, Georgia on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 11:00am with Reverend Ricky Bice, Reverend Patrick Orr, Reverend Manny Rodriguez, Spencer McLennon, and Lt.Col. Wil Sanchez officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Noah Creamer, CDR Robert Paynter, Matthew Davenport, Michael Paynter, Dee Claborn, and Shawn Michael Creamer Jr. Interment will be held at later date at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Shawn's honor towards the Helen Stark Dream Project.
