Shirley Ann Garvin

Shirley Ann Garvin, age 80, of Douglasville, GA. passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018. She was born on June 3, 1938 in Atlanta, GA. to the late Spurguon and Edna Wix. Mrs. Garvin was self- employed and worked as a Lock Smith for 45 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; Charles Wix and Albert Wix and her two sisters-in-law’s; Shirley Wix and Geneva Wix.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 62 years, William ‘Bill’ Edwin Garvin of Douglasville, GA. sons; Scott (Hope) Garvin of Temple, GA. Randy (Linda) Garvin of Hiram, GA., sister, Betty (Russell) Harp of Lithia Springs, GA., grandchildren; Jessica (Michael) Crider of Lindale, GA., Lindy (Jonathan) Moody of Savannah, GA., Wesley (Stephanie) Garvin of Kennesaw, GA., great-grandchildren; Eli Crider and Lacey Crider of Lindale, GA., and Marleigh Tinney of Fayetteville, GA. Several nieces and nephews are also survived by her.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Garvin will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 2:00 PM from the Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Veale officiating. Entombment will take place after the service on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 3:30 PM from Kennesaw Memorial Park cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be the following gentlemen; Lee Wix, Wesley Garvin, Jeff Wix, Chris Wix, Howard Sinyard and Michael Crider. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 26, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Mrs. Garvin’s honor.
