Shirley A. Farr

June 11, 1946 — April 16, 2021

Shirley Farr, 74, of Dallas, passed away on April 16, 2021.  She was born on June 11, 1946 in Atlanta to her late parents, Noah and Nora Strickland. She loved going to church, playing cards, and going out to eat with her family. In her free time, she enjoyed working on crossword puzzles or watching her favorite shows, such as Little House on the Prairie. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, LaVerne Farr, brother, Noah Strickland Jr., sister, Peggy Rogers, and daughter, Cynthia Young.

Shirely is survived by her son, Randy Farr, son in law, Joel Young, and two grandchildren, Katie “Liz” Young and Carly Ragsdale. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Services for Mrs. Farr will be held at Clark Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Don Voyles, Rev. Jamie Hobbs, and Tommy Leonard officiating.  Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 8:00.

The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who may be unable to attend the service in person due to Covid-19 concerns. If attending the visitation or service, the staff of Clark Funeral Home highly recommends that face masks be worn and that social distancing be practiced to help prevent the spreading of any possible illnesses and to help keep visitors, friends and family members of Mrs. Farr safe.
