Shirley Jean Phillips, age 79, of Hiram, GA, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2015. Mrs. Phillips was born on April 14, 1936, in Dahlonega, GA, to the late Juster Elford Dodd & Sarah Monny Cain Dodd. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John William Phillips; daughter-in-law, Melba Phillips; & sister, Chris Hart.
Survivors include sons, Tony Phillips & wife, Wynette of Dallas, GA, Terry Phillips of Canton, GA; daughter, Sherry Haynes & husband, Dennis of Hiram, GA; brother, Robert Dodd of Demorest, GA; sister, Mattie Lou Pyles of Buford, GA; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; many nieces & nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Phillips will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2015, at 1:00 PM, from the Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Paul Wehunt officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park in Marietta, GA. Serving as pallbearers will be Jason & Hunter Phillips, Nicholas & Taylor Phillips, Bobby & Dylan Presley, Brandon Phillips, Brian Knowles.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, July 25, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
