Stanley Gene Smith

Stanley Smith, age 81, of Temple, GA, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2019. He was born on April 12, 1938 in Albany GA, to his late parents; T. C. and Ruby Henderson Smith. He was employed by Greyhound, where he served faithfully as a driver for 25 years traveling the United States and was also an honorably discharged United States Army Veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters; Elaine and Peggy Smith and a nephew, Kevin Lamb.

Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Rachel Sanders Smith of Temple, GA, brothers; Raymond and Leda Smith of Baton Rouge, LA, Theron Smith of Savanna, GA; and his sister, Carol and Ken Mabry of Maggie Valley, N.C.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Smith will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Don Rackley officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 26, 2019 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM. Interment will be held at College Park Cemetery on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at 2:30 PM.
