Steve Shamblin, age 47, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2015. He was born on December 1, 1967, in Cleveland, TN, and was preceded in death by his father, Bill Shamblin. Mr. Shamblin was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in Desert Storm and also served in the United States Army Reserves. He worked as an IT consultant for Coca Cola and was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Dallas, GA. He was most loving father and husband and a huge University of Tennessee Fan.
Survivors include his wife, Deisha Rie Shamblin of Dallas, GA; children, Alec Shamblin of Tunnel Hill, GA, William Shamblin of Tunnel Hill, GA, Kenneth Shamblin of Tunnel Hill, GA, and Peyton Shamblin of Dallas, GA; mother, Bonnie Narron of Benton, TN; sister, Cheryl Bell of Benton, TN; father and mother-in-law, Bill & Kathy Fortune of Powder Springs, GA; three nieces, one nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Dallas, GA with Bishop Brian Merling officiating. The interment will follow in Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 10, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
