Steven "Steve" Douglas Maner, 72, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022. He was born on April 11, 1950 to the late Robert and Ruby Maner. Steve enjoyed fishing, playing his guitar, harmonica, and working on motorcycles. He loved bluegrass and even restored old violins. Steve was an United States Army Veteran who served in Vietnam and was awarded three Bronze Stars. He was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church where he was also a Deacon. He loved serving his church and most of all, his Lord and Savior. Steve was happily married for 51 years to his beloved wife, Anita. He adored his family and cherished his time with them. Steve was an amazing husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ruby Mae Maner. Steve is survived by his loving wife, Anita Maner; his daughter, Mandy Hogan; his son, Patrick (Carly) Maner; brothers, Barry (LuAnn) Maner, LeRoy (Wilma) Maner, Kevin (Hope) Maner; grandchildren, Kimberly (Zach) Penrod, Jonathan Hogan, Noah Maner, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. Funeral Services for Mr. Maner will be held at Clark Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Leroy Goodwin officiating. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Memorial Park Cemetery, 4614 Hiram-Douglasville Hwy., Hiram, GA.
