Steven Herman Sawyer

Steven Sawyer, 69, of Hiram, GA passed away on February 4, 2022. He was born on May 31, 1952, in Rome, GA. He had a green thumb and loved gardening, golf and cooking for his family. He was a truck driver for 33 years with Colonial Cartridge. He loved filling his grandkids with sugar and then sending them home and having popcorn fights with them.

He is survived by his spouse of 49 years, Debra Sue Carpenter Sawyer; son, David Sawyer of Dallas; daughters, Heather Sawyer of Canton and Jennifer (Corey) Spencer of Canton; brother, James Sawyer; seven grandchildren, David Brian Sawyer Jr., Emma Dunn, Aaron Dunn, Madison Bohorquez, Lylah Spencer, Landen Spencer, Hailey Underwood, and Wesley Sawyer; and great-grandchildren, Cooper Goldsmith and Harper Sawyer.

Mr. Sawyer is preceded in death by his parents, James W. and Evelyn Catherine Sutton Sawyer.

A memorial service will be held at Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, February 26 at 2:00 p.m. with Jamie Mason and Gill Valdez officiating.
