Sylvia Meadows

Sylvia Elizabeth Meadows, age 67, of Powder Springs, GA, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2015. She was born on September 21, 1948, in Ellijay, GA, to the late Hoyt & Jewell Cochran, and was preceded in death by her sister, Donna LeVert. Mrs. Meadows retired from GA State Government DFACS and was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include husband of 40 years, David Meadows of Powder Springs, GA; sons, Bryan & Katie Meadows of Newnan, GA, and Dr. Wayne & Cathy Meadows of Hiram, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sam & Sandra Cochran of Powder Springs, GA, Bobby & Cheryl Cochran of Powder Springs, GA, and Larry Cochran of Hiram, GA; aunt, Mary Poole of Marietta, GA; special friend, Sue Pearson of Douglasville, GA: grandchildren, Nate Meadows, Walker Meadows, Reese Meadows, Ivy Meadows and Jack Meadows.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at 2 PM, from Poplar Springs Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 15, 2015, from 4 PM until 8 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Poplar Springs Baptist Church Building Fund at 2056 Hiram- Douglasville HWY, Hiram, GA 30141.
