Thomas Alfred Brown

Thomas Alfred Brown, 81, of Powder Springs, GA passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021. He was born on March 6, 1940, in Marietta, GA to the late James Allen Brown and Audry Irene Maxson Brown.

He was a member of Corner Baptist Church in Powder Springs. He worked for the Cobb County School System. Mr. Brown loved church, music and western movies. Although he had no children of his own and he loved children so much that he considered several children to be his babies.

He is survived by one sister-in-law, Susan Savage of Hiram, who has been his devoted friend.

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his spouse, Sandra Thomas Brown; brothers, George Maxson Brown, James Allen Brown, Jr., and Royce Murl Brown; sisters, Audry Louise Brand, Agnes Jamey Hunnicutt, Mary Ellen Layer, and Edna Jean Merritt; and nieces and nephews.

A funeral service to honor Mr. Brown will be held on Wednesday, November 17 at 11:00 a.m. at Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Jacob Beaty officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 16, from 5:00-8:00 p.m.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Bo Thomas, Clayton Goode, Nathan Jennings, and Frank Jennings.
