Mr. Timothy Martin Mahoney, a retired Navy Chief Warrant Officer who dedicated 25 years of his life in service to his country, passed away on August 2, 2024. He was born on March 9, 1947, to Joseph Leo Mahoney Jr. and JoKatherine Mahoney in Dallas, Texas. When Timothy retired from service, he returned back to his home state of Texas. While there, he served as a Peace Officer for the Texas Department of Safety for a brief time. Timothy held the position of supervisor of safety engineering for the Georgia Department of Labor, where he was known for his unwavering dedication and hard work to his job. Furthermore, his love of volunteering for the cadets at the Paulding County High School JROTC showcased his commitment to fostering growth and development for the youth in the community.
Timothy cherished moments spent with his beloved grandchildren. He enjoyed boating on the ocean and sharing priceless moments with his family. He also enjoyed going to baseball games and supporting the Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots during football season. Timothy was a remarkable husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend who will be dearly missed.
Timothy is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Leo Mahoney Jr. and JoKatherine Mahoney; and his brother, Joseph Leo Mahoney III.
He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Raedean Mahoney; his daughter, Christi and her husband, Tony Verriotto; stepdaughters, Amy and her husband, Jeremy Smith, Amber Ables and her husband, Jamie Hughes; grandchildren, Michael Verriotto, Austin Verriotto, Victoria Verriotto, Cohen Smith; brothers, Robert Mahoney, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Mahoney, Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Mahoney, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Mahoney; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Funeral Services for Mr. Mahoney will be held at Sam Clark Chapel on Friday, August 9, 2024 beginning at 11:00 AM.
Interment will be held at Georgia National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Paulding County High School JROTC program in Mr. Mahoney's honor.
