Tina Leigh Rutledge

Tina Leigh Rutledge, age 48 of Dallas, GA passed away on Monday, September 30, 2019. She was a 1989 graduate of Paulding County High School, following graduation she worked in the banking industry briefly, then joined the Paulding County Judicial Court System, later becoming Deputy Clerk. Her health forced her to take a leave of absence that resulted in full disability later. Through her career she was well known for her loving smile and personality. She was a member of North Paulding Baptist Church. Tina was loved by all who knew her both family and friends and will always be loved, missed and remembered. She loved her family and was always writing poems and cooking unusual meals. Tina’s journey in life touched many, many people in all walks of life and she will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her father, Art Rutledge; Grandmother, Katie Benson; Grandparents, J.C. and Emmalenee Rutledge; Aunt Gail Brewer; Uncle Jimmy Rutledge and step-son, Chris Upton.

Survivors include her son, Jay Wood of Buchanan, GA; daughter, Shaylin Upton of Dallas, GA; husband, Ken Upton of Dallas, GA; step-daughter, Chelsea Upton of Temple, GA; mother, Gail Benson Stegall (Tony) of Dallas, GA; sister, Tara (Jeff) Hollis; step-sister, Shea Keown of Dallas, GA; step-brothers, Jeff (Lisa) Stegall of Rockmart, GA, Dutch Matthews of Rockmart, GA; grandfather, Floyd Benson of Dallas, GA; Uncles, Wayne (Lisa) Benson of Dallas, GA, Jeff (Bridgette) Benson of Dallas, GA, Aunts, Brenda Fowler of McDonough, GA, Ann (Bernie) Fromm of Arizona; many nieces and nephews that she loved very much and Special Niece, Angelia Benson Wade “Punkin Head”.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 3:00 pm from the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Cole, Rev. Eddie Wyatt and Rev. Todd Tibbitts officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Ken Upton, Jay Wood, Jeff Hollis, Wayne Benson, Jeff Benson, Barry Keown, Grady Wade, Kreed Benson and Cody Hollis. The following gentlemen will serve as honorary pallbearers; Gage Crawford, Ben Wood, Tyler Wood, Brandon Wood and Hal Wood. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 between the hours of 4:00 pm and 8:00 p.m.
