Tony Ray Portwood

Tony Ray Portwood, age 66 of Powder Springs, GA (Paulding County) passed away at his residence on Saturday, March 24, 2018. He was a heavy equipment operator who loved his work along with hunting, fishing and was affectionately known as “Papa Tony” to his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Randall Portwood and daughter, Rebecca Portwood Munter.

Survivors include his wife, Louann Portwood of Powder Springs, GA; son, Nicky Portwood and fiancé, Sharon Garner of Thomaston, GA and son and daughter-in-law, Donny and Wendy Portwood of Douglasville, GA; parents, Leonard Ray and Francis Portwood; grandchildren, Brandon Portwood, Brianna Portwood, Bryce Portwood, Brynn Portwood, Brantley Portwood, Andrew Portwood, Matthew Portwood, Caleb Portwood, Kiersten Munter and Connor Munter; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will held on Monday, March 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Rollins officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening, March 25, 2018 between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home.
