Biography Vennie Tant Lankford, age 84, of Dallas, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2008. She was born on November 27, 1923 in Paulding Co. to the late Isaac T. & Valley Holden. She was a member of Springdale Baptist Church in Rockmart and was preceded in death by her first husband, E. J. Tant and her second husband, W. T. Lankford.
Surviving are her children and their spouses, William E. & Bonnie Tant of Jackson, GA, James W. & Loretta Tant of Jackson, TN, Mary & Donald Davison of Carrollton, GA, Sue & Bob McLeroy of Kennesaw, GA, Johnny P. & Bonnie Tant of Rockmart, GA and Debra & Keith Hales of Dallas, GA; step-children and their spouses, Katty L. Golden of Dallas, GA, Gladys Gant of Powder Springs, GA, Glenda White & David Slusher of Lithia Springs, GA, Sandra & Ray Childers of Hiram and Cathy Bennett & Larry Williams of Hiram; brothers and sisters-in-law, Isaac & Ella Holden of Douglasville, GA, Herman & Mildred Holden of Dallas, GA and George Holden of Memphis, TN; sisters and brothers-in-law, Zannie & Doug Muse of Resaca, GA and Betty & Wallace Adair of Dallas, GA; 16 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. from Springdale Baptist Church in Rockmart with Rev. Bobby McDowell officiating. The interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
