Violet “Vi” Polhemus, age 86, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2019. She was born on August 18, 1932, to the late William and Ruby Garner. She was methodist by faith attended County Line United Methodist Church in Acworth as much as she could. She worked doing clerical work for Cobb County for 10 years. She was known as the Boss, and a masterful organizer. Growing up in middle Georgia she was a tom-boy that enjoyed racing cars and hunting turkey. She also loved sports, especially the Atlanta Braves, and playing tennis and basketball herself. Mrs. Polhemus was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents and her grandson, Lucas Polhemus.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 45 years, George Polhemus of Dallas, GA; son, Anthony Scrivanich of Dallas, GA, George and Holly Polhemus of Elizabethton TN; daughter, Kathy and Raymond Vassallie of Long Branch, NJ; grandchildren, Nicole and Joe Sivilli, R.J. Vassallie, Kristen Polhemus, Chlowe Polhemus; great grandchildren, Amelia Polhemus, and Joey Sivilli.
A funeral Service for Mrs. Violet “Vi” Polhemus will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 11:00AM from the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Steven Riddle presiding. Interment will follow in Sandersville, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, July 27, 2019 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to County Line United Methodist Church, 1183 County Line Rd N. Acworth, GA 30101.
