Virginia Camp, age 99, of Dallas, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, August 16th, 2017. Born January 19th, 1918 in Hiram, GA to the late Fredrick Eugene and Myrtis Walton, she was the widow of Hugh Dorsey Camp. Virginia was preceded in death by brothers Frank Walton and Collins Walton; sisters Emma Lee Smith and Wilma Eberhart; granddaughters Virginia Carol Aiken and Allison Camp.
Virginia worked at Lockheed Martin as a Human Resources Specialist for 38 years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Dallas. She loved everyone she met. Some of her favorite things included family, flowers, the Georgia Bulldogs, and the Atlanta Braves. She often participated in charity work for her favorite charities, including the American Cancer Society and the Atlanta Union Mission, as well as raising money for the National World War II Memorial in Washington D.C.
Survivors include son, Jimmy (Margaret) Camp of Blairsville, GA; daughter, Sue (Fred) Aiken of Smyrna, GA; grandchildren Susan (David) Grier of Canton, GA and Jonathan (Brandi) Camp of Dallas, GA; great-grandchildren Caroline and Colton Grier, Gabrielle (Luke) Loggins, Katherine Camp, Ryan Griffin, Brendan Camp and Hayleigh Smith; great-great grandchild Adeline Loggins.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 20th, 2017 at 3PM at Clark Funeral Home. Reverend Don Rackley will be officiating. Interment will follow at Dallas Memory Gardens. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, August 20th, 2017 from 1PM-3PM.
