Virginia "Ginny" Wendel

Ginny Wendel, age 73, of Powder Springs, GA., passed away on February 3, 2018. She was born on December 21, 1944 in Queens, NY., to the late Edward and Helen Richards. Mrs. Wendel worked as a waitress at Daphils Deli for 38 years and was a member of Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Douglasville, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Carol Richards.

Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Bob Wendel of Powder Springs, GA., son, Don and Sandra Larsen of Powder Springs, GA., daughter, Sheri and Jeff Rothenburger of Ocalla, FL., brother, Edward Richards of Powder Springs, GA. And her two grandchildren; Corinne and Jackie Larsen.

Funeral services for Mrs. Wendel will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 beginning at 11:00 AM at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Bovingdon officiating. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, February 5, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully askes that donations be made to the Georgia Humane Society or the America Kidney Foundation.
