Walter Johnston, Sr

Walter Robert Johnston, Sr., age 77, of Dallas, GA, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2011. He was born April 19, 1934, in Atlanta, GA, to the late, Carl Jasper Johnston & the late, Florrie Denton Johnston.
Mr. Johnston was a U. S. Army veteran. He worked for Yellow Freight for 38 years and was a member of New Georgia Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Margie Elliott Johnston; son, Bob Johnston of Dallas, GA; daughters & sons-in-law, Precilla & Kent Hubbard of Powder Springs, GA and Patrice & Mark Lawson of Powder Springs, GA; grandchildren, Bryan Hubbard, Lindsey Hubbard, Andrew Hubbard, Hannah Lawson, Molly Lawson and Adam Johnston.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 17, 2011, at 11:00 AM, from New Georgia Baptist Church, with Dr. James Burdette officiating. Interment will follow in Powder Springs Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home, Friday, December 16, 2011, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
