Warren “Gates” Nichols, age 65, of Douglasville, GA, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2009. He was born in New York, May 26, 1944, to the late, Lloyd & Marion Gates Nichols. Mr. Nichols was a professional musician. He was a member of West Ridge Church.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Nichols of Douglasville, GA; son, David Nichols & girlfriend Elizabeth Squillante of Long Island, NY; daughters, Danielle Manwarren and her boyfriend Mike Moller of Concord,NC, Dawn Nichols & Fiancee John Donavan of Vail, CO, Ashley & Bobby Young of Douglasville, GA and Brittney Humes & Justin Wilkey of Douglasville, GA; grandchildren, Jake Wilkey and Dylan Manwarren, also 4 sisters in laws, 3 brothers in laws, nieces and nephews and 2 half brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at 11:00 AM, from West Ridge Church in Dallas, GA, with Reverend Brian Bloye officiating. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 18, 2009, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to South Paulding High School (SPHS) c/o Dari Harmon, 1364 Winn Road, Douglasville, GA 30134.Please note on check for Gates Nichols Music Scholarship Fund.
