Wendell Campbell

Wendell R. Campbell, age 82, of Powder Springs, GA passed away on Friday, September 16, 2011. He was born on August 1, 1929 in Stilesboro, GA to the late Rev. C. R. and Julia Campbell. He was retired from Atlanta Water Works as an office manager after over 25 years of service. Mr. Campbell was a member of the First Baptist Church of Powder Springs.
Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Jerry R. Campbell of Powder Springs, GA and Tony & Carol Campbell of Kennesaw, GA; a brother, Harris & Doris Campbell of Dallas, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ivanette & Hugh Rose of Dallas, GA, Jean & Harlow King of Dallas, GA and Margie & Harold Adair of Oak Ridge, TN; a grandchild, Jackson Campbell of Kennesaw, GA.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. from Clark Funeral Home with Reverend Tommy Harris officiating. The interment will follow in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 2056 Hiram-Douglasville Hwy., Hiram, Georgia 30141.
