William Johnson

William Donald Johnson, age 78, of Dallas, GA, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2013. The son of the late, Nathan L. Johnson & the late, Pearlie Wright Johnson, he was born on March 10, 1935, in Haralson County, GA.
Mr. Johnson retired as a maintenance mechanic, after 40 plus years of service. He was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of almost 60 years, Marilyn Veronica Johnson; sons & daughters-in-law, Michael Johnson & wife, Donna of Temple, GA, and Reverend Philip Johnson & wife, Cindy of Newnan, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Donna Ward & husband, Reverend James Ward of Stockbridge, GA; brother, Nathan Lamar Johnson of Buchanan, GA; sisters, Betty Jo Hogan of Buchanan, GA, Thelma Bush of Buchanan, GA, Iva Mae Dobbs of Temple, GA, and Rosa Lee Parrish of Buchanan, GA; grandchildren, Jennifer Messier, Michelle Daniels, Matthew Johnson, Christina Johnson and Natalie Johnson; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, October 4, 2013, at 2:00 PM, from New Liberty Baptist Church, with Pastor Billy Swift, Reverend James Ward and Reverend Philip Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, with Matt Johnson, Jerry Daniels, Tony Pace, Leroy Moody, Mason Bush and Mike Powell serving as pallbearers.
Lamar Johnson will serve as honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home, on Thursday, October 3, 2013, from 5:00PM until 8:00 PM.
