William Owen

William Robert Owen, age 73, of Hiram, GA, passed away on Sunday, August 03, 2008. He was born in Dallas, GA, August 23, 1934. He was preceded in death by his father, William Emmett Owen; mother, Evelyn Owen; and brother, Cefus Owen. He was an Army veteran, retired from Sears with 23 years of service, and also retired from Paulding County School System Maintenance with 10 years of service

Survivors include his wife, Mary Irene Owen of Hiram; son, William “Rob” Owen of Hiram; daughter, Tobie Knight of Hiram; brother, Billy Owen of Dallas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles & Virginia Owen of Sedro Wolley, Washington and Steve & Carolyn Owen of Hiram, GA; sister, Doris Layton of Rome, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce & Larry Robbins of Douglasville and Linda & Tony Martin of Hiram; sister-in-law, Pat Owen of Snellville, GA; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The body was cremated and services will be announced at a later date.
