William David Schertz, age 74, of Dallas, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2007. Mr. Schertz was born, June 25, 1933, in Rittman, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Elsworth Schertz and his mother, Lois Ethel Zimmerly Schertz. Mr. Schertz was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Schertz of Dallas; son & daughter-in-law, Dana Schertz & wife Carla of Akron, OH; daughters
& sons-in-law, Diana Farrance & husband Robert of Akron, OH, and Tonya Kusek & husband Tom of Dallas; sister, Loretta Cioffe of Wooster, OH; fifteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 8, 2007, at 11:00am, Clark Funeral Home, with Mr. Tommy Smithwick officiating.
Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.
