William Southern

William Lee Southern, age 71, of Dallas, GA passed away on Friday, September 28, 2012. He was born on July 13, 1941 in Cobb County, GA to the late Virgil and Lillie Mae Southern. Mr. Southern was a member of Cheatham Hill Baptist Church and was deeply loved by many friends and family members as daddy and papa. Mr. Southern was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Dawn Southern.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Southern of Dallas; a son and daughter- in-law, Keith & Angie Southern of Dallas; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen & Steve Mattix of Dallas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Edgar & Edith Southern of Hiawasee, GA, Dennis & Elizabeth Southern of Kennesaw, GA, Larry & Peggy Southern of Jasper, GA; sister and brother-in law, Ann & Jack Rose of Woodstock, GA; sister, Patsy Stone of Forsyth, GA; grandchildren, Nickole Southern Smith, Nick Southern, Trent Mattix and Alisha Mattix all of Dallas; great-grandchild, Lex Smith of Dallas; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 1, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA with Reverend Steve McEntyre officiating. The interment will follow in Cheatham Hill Memorial Park with nephews serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
