William Blake Thomason, 60, passed away on August 22, 2024. He was born on September 15, 1963, to the late H.T and Mary Sue Thomason. Blake was a devoted craftsman and passionate soul; he was self-employed as a woodworker and dedicated over 30 years to profession.
Blake's life was a rich tapestry of interests and passions. An avid supporter of NASCAR, he spent countless weekends cheering on his team with fervor. His love for fishing, camping, and music-ranging from Southern rock and country to the iconic melodies of Elton John-was a cornerstone of his vibrant personality.
Blake is preceded in death by his parents, H.T. Thomason and Mary Sue Clonts Thomason; and a brother, Kelly Thomason.
He is survived by his siblings, Greg and Diana Thomason, David and Sharon Thomason, Lee Penna, Cathy Kent, and Theri Brawn, as well as a large and loving extended family of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Blake's family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, September 5, 2024, from 12:00 PM-1:00 PM. A memorial service to celebrate Blake's life will immediately follow in the Sam Clark Chapel on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at 1:00 PM with Reverend Don Rackley officiating.
Blake's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him, and he will be dearly missed by everyone who had the privilege of sharing in his life.
