William Andrew Weatherman was called home to his final resting place on November 16, 2021, at the age of 93. William was born to the late Otis and Edna Weatherman July 7, 1928 in Garden Grove, CA. In 1949 he married the love of his life, Shirley Ann Walker, and together, they raised two children, Dennis and Janet. Mr. Weatherman was a true family man and was deeply devoted to his wife. He had a kind, giving spirit and found joy in helping and giving to others. He could always be found giving foods from his private garden! He loved his church and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. William enjoyed God's creations, especially the beach, like Newport and Huntington Beach in California. He enjoyed watching football and working on old cars, especially Fords. The life of William Weatherman was a life well lived, and he will be missed by all who knew him.
William is preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Shirley Ann Weatherman; parents, Otis Andrew and Edna Hazel Weatherman; and sisters, Charline Jaggers and Barbara Bloom, and grandson; Joel Wilkins. He is survived by his son, Dennis (Sue) Weatherman; daughter, Janet (Calvin) Wilkins; 10 grandchildren, Tessa (Troy) McGrew, Peter (Khaleelah) Wilkins, Caleb (Kendra) Wilkins, Laura (Robert) Hoggard, Leah (Corey) McLeod, Claire Wilkins, Kara Wilkins, Ashley (Ian) Atchison, and Lindsay (Jake) Yutzy; and 26 great-grandchildren, Nathan (McKenna) McGrew, Ian McGrew, Rebekah McGrew, Connor McGrew, Derek Wilkins, Taylor Babb, Porter Wilkins, Shirley Wilkins, Pearl Wilkins, Mack Wilkins, Dakota Hoggard, Isaiah Hoggard, David Hoggard, Corinne Hoggard, May Hoggard, Dallas Hoggard, Kiersten Hoggard, Shane McLeod, Preston McLeod, Harold Yutzy, Kailey Atchison, Kara Atchison, Kassie Atchison, Korinne Atchison, Kamille Atchison, and Karsten Atchison.
Per Mr. Weatherman's wishes, as an Army Veteran of the Korean War, he will be laid to rest in California at Riverside National Cemetery and a memorial will be held at a later date.
