Willie Austin

Willie Mae Pace Austin, age 84, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2008. A native of Paulding County, she was born March 26, 1924, and was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Rader Pace & Nona Williams Pace; husband, Boyd L. Austin, Sr.; grandson, Benjamin Scott McWaters; brothers, Other Pace, Louie Pace, and A. A. “Buddy” Pace; and sisters, Louella Pace Smith and Emma Lee Pace Palmer. Mrs. Austin was a homemaker and loved cooking. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dallas, where she was very active in the J.O.Y. Club, Joyful Singers, and Ruth Sunday school class. Mrs. Austin was also a member of the Woodman of the World.
Survivors include her sons & daughter-in-law, David & Jane Austin of Dallas, and Boyd L. Austin, Jr. of Dallas; daughter & son-in-law, Wynona & Ricky Voyles of Dallas; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Lanier Austin of Dallas, and Mrs. O. C. Austin, Jr. of Dallas; brother-in-law, Paul Mobley of Cartersville; grandchildren, Dr. Chris & Jaydee Austin Smith of Marietta, and Tyler & Lorenda Adams of Orland Park, IL; great-grandchildren, Abney & Austin Smith of Marietta; step-grandchildren, Robby & Jackie Entrekin of Panama City Beach, FL; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2008, at 3:00PM, First Baptist Church of Dallas, with Dr. Gregg Potts officiating. Interment will follow in Dallas Memory Gardens. Jimmy Pace, Gary Mauldin, Derek Lawrence, David Welch, Justin Fuller, Joe Parker, Griffin White and Dr. Ben Toole will serve as pallbearers, and the Deacons of the First Baptist Church of Dallas will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Dallas Building Fund, 401 Main Street, Dallas, GA 30132, or your favorite charity.
